What is your daily AI driver?

I love cars! I love the feeling of hitting the gas and going. I can slow down when I need to and speed up when I must. Ever since I was 15 years old, yes, I drove my grandfather's Buick without a license when I was 15. I’ve loved the freedom of being in control.

I love technology just as much as I love driving. I want to experience that same freedom and get behind the wheel on my AI journey. I want a daily driver where I can just jump in and go. I don't want to change cars (platforms) when the gas tank gets low, I just want to drive. Lately, though, I’ve been changing AI platforms almost every hour.

My daily driver was Claude. It’s the Tesla of AI platforms: sleek, modern, packed with the latest bells and whistles, and you don’t need to know what’s under the hood. But when you hit a token or rate limit in the middle of a major prompt project, you’re stuck. I don’t own a Tesla, but I imagine it feels like running out of battery and waiting by a charging station. I don’t want to wait on technology!

So, I hop into Gemini. It’s fun to drive, loaded with cutting-edge features, looks great, and because it’s backed by Google, it feels built to last, the Lexus of AI. I can just continue my journey without skipping a beat.

The next car in my AI garage is ChatGPT. It’s the Jeep Wrangler of the lineup: it looks great on the lot, but once you drive it off, you lose haff of the value, spend more time in the repair shop than off-roading. No offense to Jeep owners; the rubber duck tradition is cool.

That brings me to the final vehicle in my garage, which surprised even me: Amazon Quick. Some of you reading this might not have heard of it yet. Amazon Q is like a Ford F-250 pickup, an industrial workhorse. You can use it for deep research, agents, and dashboards. It takes time to learn how to drive, but once you do, it delivers a steady, heavy-duty drive.
